The JVC DR-DX5S DVD and MiniDV Recorder Combo can record video content either onto a hard drive, DVD discs, or MiniDV. It's equipped with a 250GB hard disk drive with 473 hours of recording space. You can also record on DVD-RAM, DVD-R and DVD-RW discs and MiniDV cassettes. The DR-DX5S is a player; use it for DVD-Video, VCD, Super VCD, CD-DA, CD-R and CD-RW or from the MiniDV cassette. This DVD recorder also plays MP3, WMA and JPEG files on CD-R and CD-RW. It has VCR Plus+ programming feature and manual timer recording as well as six-way dubbing (between any two of its drives).
